Mopani - Colophospermum mopane
Mopani grows in South Africa - it's extreme hardness offers resistance to termites, making it Africa's natural choice for building houses and fences, and for adding decorative touches; until recently, it had been the traditional wood used in making clarinets, and sculptures. It is extremely hard, turns very well & takes a very high polish. Great for bottle stoppers & pens.
